Overview of PatternFoundry

PatternFoundry is a professional-grade trading simulation platform designed to help traders develop, test, and refine their skills without risking real capital. Unlike traditional paper trading that relies on live market data, PatternFoundry generates synthetic price action using advanced stochastic models and microstructure simulation.

This approach offers several key advantages:

Unlimited practice sessions - Generate as many unique market scenarios as you need
Controlled environments - Dial in specific market conditions (choppy, trending, volatile) to practice targeted strategies
Realistic microstructure - A full order book simulation with multiple agent types produces authentic price behavior including slippage, spread dynamics, and liquidity effects
No hindsight bias - Every session is unique; you cannot accidentally memorize historical patterns
Speed control - Practice at 0.25x for careful analysis or 200x for rapid pattern recognition training

Creating an Account

To get started with PatternFoundry:

Navigate to the registration page at /register
Enter your email address and choose a secure password
Verify your email address via the confirmation link
Log in to access your dashboard

New accounts start on the Free tier, which includes limited simulator sessions and basic chart characters. You can upgrade at any time from the dashboard.

Tip

Your account data, saved sessions, and custom indicators are stored server-side and accessible from any device.

Dashboard Overview

The dashboard is your home base in PatternFoundry. It provides a quick overview of market context and quick access to all platform features.

Ticker Strip

The top of the dashboard displays a horizontal strip of ticker cards showing real-time market data for your watched instruments. Each card shows the instrument name, current price, and percentage change. Click a ticker to load its chart. Use the + button to add new instruments to your watchlist.

Chart Panel

The main chart displays the currently selected instrument with candlestick data. This is a read-only overview chart - for interactive trading, use the Simulator.

News Feed

The news panel shows recent market headlines relevant to your watched instruments. Headlines are sourced from major financial news providers and update in real-time.

Quick Actions Sidebar

The right sidebar provides one-click access to:

Launch Simulator - Start a new trading session
Chart Designer - Create custom market characters
Recent Sessions - Resume saved simulator sessions
Performance Stats - View your aggregate trading statistics

The top navigation bar is present on every page and provides access to all major sections:
