Iron Man Mode

What Is Iron Man Mode?

Iron Man Mode is a structured trading challenge that tests your discipline and consistency. Configure your starting balance, profit target, and maximum drawdown — then trade your way to the goal without breaching your limits. One session at a time, random instruments, no shortcuts.

The Challenge

Start with a chosen balance. Grow it to your target percentage before drawing down past your limit from peak. Instruments are randomly assigned each session — you must adapt.

How It Works

  1. Configure & Start — Go to the Stats page → Iron Man tab. Choose a preset (Micro $5k, Standard $10k, Full $50k, Hardcore) or configure custom parameters: starting balance, target %, max drawdown %, and optional max sessions.
  2. Trade in the Simulator — When you have an active run, the simulator automatically enters Iron Man mode. You'll see a IRON MAN badge in the Session panel.
  3. Random Instruments — You don't get to choose. The simulator picks a random instrument whose initial margin your balance can afford. This forces adaptability.
  4. Locked History — Chart history is limited to 3 months (63 days) during Iron Man sessions.
  5. Sessions Auto-Submit — When you close a session, your P&L is automatically recorded to the challenge. No manual tracking needed.
  6. Run Until End — The challenge continues until you hit the target, breach drawdown, reach max sessions, or forfeit.

You can also set fully custom values for any parameter.

End Conditions

🏆 Target ReachedBalance reaches your target % above startingChallenge won — recorded in history
💀 Drawdown BreachBalance drops below peak by your drawdown limit %Challenge failed — recorded in history
⏱ Max SessionsYou reach the max sessions limit (if configured)Challenge ended — recorded in history

Drawdown Calculation

Drawdown is measured from your peak balance, not your starting balance. For example with a 20% drawdown limit on a $10,000 start:

Key Detail

The drawdown percentage is measured relative to your starting balance, but tracked from your highest point. This means the higher you climb, the more room you have — but a big loss can still end the run.

Simulator Behavior During Iron Man
